Always right

In the ancient world, the law of the lever was already being put to practical use – for crane loads or on ships. The principle of today’s construction cranes and container extinguishing systems is still the same. More distance – less force. Long-established methods don’t have to be bad. Especially in a modern guise.

Accept help

Specialists are good and useful; some, such as pilots, are a legal necessity. But even if they aren’t required by law, using professionals can simply lead to more profit. And on the way up, the benefits are always appreciated.

We also speak technical jargon

But only if it’s absolutely necessary. We much prefer to speak your language. This makes communication and exchange much easier.

Smells like the sea

There’s no way round it – the best steaks come from America, the most aromatic pepper from Cambodia, spices from far-flung corners of the world. Despite our desire for more regionality, internationality is a matter of course for us. We’ve got used to it and are active in all markets.

True Colours

It may be easier to think in black and white terms, but in reality the world is colourful. Simple off-the-peg solutions won’t get you far if you take individuality seriously. We like to fall back on a palette offering diverse possibilities out of which we develop imaginative new solutions.

Don't think

There are some hand movements that are so automatic you don’t have to think about them. The necessary outcome is achieved faster and mistakes are avoided. Order and routine is not always an end in itself but it is the best foundation for efficiency and clarity.

Global

Most people think only of the digital world when they hear the word "global". For decades, we have been placing our customers' risks with personally known companies all over the world. This has led to the development of contacts that deserve the term "partnership" and from which we draw confidence with a clear conscience.

Our handling of your data and your rights
Thank you very much for your interest in our company. Data protection has a particularly high priority for the management.

The use of our internet pages is basically possible without any indication of personal data. However, if a person concerned wishes to make use of special services provided by our company via our website, it may be necessary to process personal data. If the processing of personal data is necessary and there is no legal basis for such processing, we will generally obtain your consent as the person concerned.

The processing of personal data, for example the name, address, e-mail address or telephone number of a data subject, is always carried out in accordance with the Basic Data Protection Regulation (EU-DSGVO, hereinafter referred to as DSGVO) and in accordance with the country-specific data protection regulations applicable to the companies.

With this data protection declaration, our company wishes to inform the public about the type, scope and purpose of the personal data collected, used and processed by us. Furthermore, this data protection declaration informs the persons concerned about their rights.

As the person responsible for processing (hereinafter referred to as the "person responsible"), we have implemented numerous technical and organisational measures to ensure that the personal data processed via this website is protected as completely as possible. Nevertheless, Internet-based data transmissions can in principle have security gaps, so that absolute protection cannot be guaranteed. For this reason, each person concerned is free to transmit personal data to us by alternative means, such as telephone.

Name and address of the controller
The person responsible within the meaning of the DSGVO and other data protection laws applicable in the EU Member States and other provisions of a data protection nature is the:
Karl Köllner GmbH Versicherungsmakler, Valentinskamp 70, 20355 Hamburg, Deutschland, Telephone: +49 (40) – 374954 0, E-Mail: info@karl-koellner.de, Website: www.karl-koellner.de

Data subjects can contact our data protection officer directly at any time if they have any questions or suggestions regarding data protection.

Note: In the following, we quote the applicable or specifically relevant legal bases and abbreviate the word "Rechtsgrundlagen" with the designation "RG" for better readability.

Collection of general data and information
When you visit our website, a number of log files of the server are saved with each call. These can be collected:

(1) the browser types and versions used
(2) the operating system used by the accessing system
(3) the website through which an accessing system accesses our website (so-called referrer)
(4) the sub-sites through which an accessing system on our website is controlled
(5) the date and time of access to the website
(6) an Internet Protocol address (IP address)
(7) the Internet service provider of the accessing system
(8) other similar data and information used to avert dangers in the event of attacks on our information technology systems

When using this general data and information, we do not draw any conclusions about the person concerned. Rather, this information is needed to

(1) to deliver the contents of our website correctly,

(2) to optimise the content of our website and, if necessary, the advertising for it,

(3) to ensure the long-term operability of our information technology systems and the technology of our website

(4) and to provide law enforcement authorities with the information necessary for law enforcement in the event of a cyber attack.

This anonymously collected data and information is therefore evaluated by us statistically and with the aim of increasing data protection and data security in our company to ultimately ensure an optimal level of protection for the personal data processed by us. The anonymous data of the server log files are stored separately from all personal data provided by the person concerned.

SSL encryption
This site uses SSL encryption for security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as requests that you send to us as the site operator. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the fact that the address line of the browser changes from "http://" to "https://" and by the lock symbol in your browser line.

If SSL encryption is activated, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.

Disclosure of data
In principle, we do not pass on your data to third parties without first informing you and asking for your permission. Only in the exceptional cases explained below can we transfer your data to third parties without prior separate information:

• If it serves to clarify an illegal use or is necessary for legal prosecution, personal data is forwarded to the law enforcement authorities and possibly to injured third parties. However, this only happens if there are concrete indications of unlawful or abusive conduct. A passing on can also take place if this serves the enforcement of general trading conditions or other agreements. In any case, we will inform you immediately if such disclosure of your personal data is requested.

• We are also legally obliged to provide information to certain public bodies upon request. These are criminal prosecution authorities, authorities that prosecute administrative offences subject to fines and the tax authorities.

• From time to time, we may rely on contractually affiliated third parties and external service providers to provide our services. In such cases, information is shared with these companies or individuals to enable them to process it further. These external service providers are carefully selected and regularly reviewed by us to ensure that your privacy is maintained. The service providers may only use the data for the purposes specified by us. Furthermore, the service providers are contractually obliged by us to treat your data exclusively in accordance with this data protection declaration and the DSGVO and the applicable data protection laws.

• As part of the further development of our business, the structure of Karl Köllner GmbH Versicherungsmakler may change by changing its legal form, founding, buying or selling subsidiaries, parts of companies or components. In such transactions, customer information is passed on together with the part of the company to be transferred. Whenever personal data is transferred to third parties to the extent described above, we ensure that this is done in accordance with this data protection declaration and the relevant data protection laws.

Possibility to contact us via the website
If you, as the person concerned, contact us by e-mail, the personal data relating to your person will be automatically stored. This is always done on a voluntary basis on your part; however, we store the personal data transmitted in this context exclusively for the purpose of processing or contacting you as the person concerned. This personal data will under no circumstances be passed on to third parties.

Routine deletion and blocking of personal data
We store your personal data only for the period of time necessary to achieve the storage purpose within the framework of the data protection regulations applicable for this in accordance with the DSGVO or other data protection regulations.

If the storage purpose no longer applies or if a storage period prescribed by the DSGVO or other data protection regulations expires, the personal data will be blocked or deleted routinely and in accordance with the statutory provisions.

Rights of the data subject Right to confirmation
As a data subject, you have the right under the DSGVO to request confirmation from us, as the person responsible, whether personal data relating to you is being processed. If you wish to exercise this right of confirmation, you can contact our data protection officer or another of our employees at any time. Right to information

Furthermore, you have the right to receive from us at any time and free of charge information about the personal data stored about you as well as a copy of this information.

In this context, the DSGVO grants you a concrete claim to information for the following information:
● the processing purposes
● the categories of personal data that will be processed
● the recipients or categories of recipients to whom your personal data has been or will be disclosed, in particular recipients in third countries or international organisations
● if possible, information on the planned duration for which the personal data will be stored or, if this is not possible, the criteria for determining this duration
● the existence of a right to rectify or delete personal data concerning you or to limit the processing by us or on the basis of a right to object to such processing
● the existence of a right of appeal to the competent supervisory authority
● if the personal data is not collected directly from you, but a personal reference to you can be established: all available information about the origin of the data
● the existence of automated decision making including profiling and - at least in these cases - meaningful information about the logic involved as well as the scope and desired effects of such processing for you as the data subject (RG: Art.22 para.1 and 4 DSGVO)

In addition, you have a right to information as to whether your personal data has been transferred to a third country or to an international organisation. If this is the case, you also have the right to obtain information about the appropriate guarantees in connection with the transfer.

If you wish to exercise this right of access, you can contact our data protection officer or one of our employees at any time.

Right to rectification

As a data subject, you have the right to request the immediate rectification of any inaccurate personal data concerning you. Furthermore, you have the right to request the completion of incomplete personal data - also by means of a supplementary declaration - taking into account the purposes of the processing.

If you wish to exercise this right of rectification, you can contact our data protection officer or one of our employees at any time.

Right to deletion (right to be forgotten)
As a data subject, you have the right to demand that we delete the personal data concerning you immediately and to the extent that processing is not necessary, in particular if one of the following reasons applies:
● the personal data are no longer necessary for the purposes collected or for other processing methods. (RG: Art.6 Abs1 a; Art.9 Abs.2; Art.21 DSGVO)
● the personal data have been processed unlawfully
● the deletion of personal data is necessary to fulfil a legal obligation under Union law or the law of the member states to which Karl Köllner GmbH Versicherungsmakler, as the responsible party, is subject.
● the personal data have been collected within the framework of the conditions for a child's consent to services offered by the information society (RG: Art.8 Abs.1 DSGVO)

If one of the reasons mentioned above applies and you, as the person concerned, wish to have your personal data stored by Karl Köllner GmbH Versicherungsmakler in this connection deleted, please contact our data protection officer or one of our employees so that the request for deletion can be complied with immediately.

If we have made the personal data public and our company, as the responsible party, is obliged to delete the personal data, we will take appropriate measures, also of a technical nature, to fulfil this request for deletion, taking into account the available technology and implementation costs. In this context, all data controllers who process your personal data will be informed that you have requested the deletion of all links to this personal data or copies or replications of this personal data. Our data protection officer will take the necessary steps in individual cases. (RG: Art.17 Abs.1 und 2 DSGVO) Right to Restriction of Processing

As a data subject, you have the right to demand from us, as the person responsible, that we restrict the processing of your personal data if one of the following conditions is met:
● the accuracy of personal data is disputed by you for a period of time that enables us to verify the accuracy of the data accordingly
● the processing is unlawful, i.e. you, as the data subject, refuse to delete the personal data and demand instead the restriction of the use of this data
● we, as the responsible party, no longer need the personal data for the purposes of processing, but you, as the person concerned, need the data to assert, exercise or defend legal claims
● You, as the data subject, have lodged an objection against the processing and it is not yet clear whether the legitimate reasons which we, as the data controller, give for the processing outweigh yours (RG: Art.21 Abs.1 DSGVO).

If one of the above conditions is met and you, as the person concerned, wish to request the restriction of personal data stored by us, you can contact our data protection officer or one of our other employees at any time to arrange for the restriction of processing.

Right to data transferability

As a data subject, you have the right to receive the personal data that you have provided to us for processing in a structured, common and machine-readable format. You also have the right to communicate this data to another data controller to whom the personal data has been provided, without any hindrance on our part, provided that the processing is based on a DSGVO provision or consent given by you or on a DSGVO-compliant contract and the processing is carried out using automated procedures, provided that the processing is not necessary for the performance of a task in the public interest or in the exercise of official authority assigned to the data controller. (RG: Art.6 para.1 a, Art.9 para.2, Art.6 para.1 b DSGVO)

Furthermore, within the scope of your claim to data transferability, you have the right to obtain that the personal data be transferred directly by a responsible person (in this case Karl Köllner GmbH Versicherungsmakler) to another responsible person, insofar as this is technically feasible and insofar as this does not impair the rights and freedoms of other persons. (RG: Art 20 para. 1 DSGVO)

To assert your right to data transfer, please contact our data protection officer or another of our employees.

Right of opposition
As a data subject, you have the right to object at any time to the processing of personal data concerning you for reasons arising from your particular situation. This also applies to profiling based on these provisions. (RG: Art.6 para.1 e or f DSGVO)

In the event of objection, we will no longer process the personal data unless we can prove compelling reasons for the processing worthy of protection which outweigh the interests, rights and freedoms of the persons concerned in this context, or the processing serves the assertion, exercise or defence of legal claims.

If we process data in order to operate direct advertising, you, as the person concerned, have the right to object at any time to the processing of personal data for the purpose of such advertising. This also applies to profiling as far as it is connected with such direct advertising. If, in this connection, you object to our processing for direct marketing purposes, we will no longer process your personal data for these purposes.

You also have the right, for reasons arising from your particular situation, to object to the processing of your personal data, which may be carried out by us for scientific or historical research purposes or for statistical purposes, unless such processing is necessary for the performance of a task in the public interest. (RG: Art.89 para.1 DSGVO)

To exercise your right to object, you can contact our data protection officer directly or another of our employees.

Automated decisions in individual cases including profiling
You, as the data subject, have the right not to be subject to a decision based solely on automated processing, including profiling, which has legal effect upon you or which similarly significantly affects you, provided that the decision

● is not required for the conclusion or performance of a contract between you and Karl Köllner GmbH Versicherungsmakler, or
● is permissible due to legal provisions of the Union or the member states to which Karl Köllner GmbH Versicherungsmakler is subject, and these legal provisions contain appropriate measures to safeguard the rights and freedoms as well as the legitimate interests of you, as the person concerned, or
● with your explicit consent

Is the decision
● for the conclusion or fulfilment of a contract between you and the Karl Köllner GmbH insurance broker necessary or

● it takes place with your explicit consent,

we take appropriate measures to protect your rights and freedoms as well as your legitimate interests. (RG: Art.22 DSGVO) Applications Use of Cookies

You take care of your business ...

... we'll deal with the risks!

dive in

A safe harbour

Dealing with insurances may be prosaic and numbers-driven, but at the end of the day it is people who nurture business relationships. Unconditionally, through thick and thin, with head and heart. Trust is not something that can be calculated. It needs to be earned. We’re ready. Take advantage of what we have to offer.

Home run
or strike?

Nothing beats honesty. It’s something we love to see on the pitch but also in the workplace. Of course we appreciate tactical ingenuity and an assertive game plan. But fairness and dependability are also indispensable assets – for a team, and for us.

Sorry?

Being a good listener is demanding; understanding what you’re being told is an art. Having to enquire whether you’ve understood something correctly can be awkward – but sometimes there’s no way round it if you really want to know! It’s the only way to establish genuine communication – and to create the foundation for a long-term relationship.

Up to speed

The digital world keeps things changing. In our industry, too, some processes that used to take weeks are now completed in milliseconds. But when the underlying concept for a long term solution is at stake, thoroughness is paramount.

Know how.

Tyre pressure sensors continously send data to the fully digitalised cockpit. This is great and increases safety. But if the worst comes to the worst a wheel wrench and good old-fashioned muscle-power also come in useful. We feel at home – in both worlds.

Address of the company data protection officer
Corporate Data Protection Officer of Karl Köllner GmbH Versicherungsmakler, Valentinskamp 70, 20355 Hamburg Germany, is Mag. Andrea Thurner, Phone: +43 (0)664 814 28 65, E-Mail: Andrea.Thurner@aon-austria.at

(RG: Art.22 DSGVO) Applications Use of Cookies

... we'll deal with the risks!

dive in

bit by bit

Employee loyalty is becoming increasingly important. An attractive pension plan is just a little appetiser to attract and retain satisfied employees in the long term. Our offer goes far beyond this, is very varied, and is designed to whet the appetite for more.

Cling, clang, clong ...

An outsider is barely able to grasp what a blacksmith does with his hammer and anvil. Many years of training have turned his knowledge into intuition. With the first stroke of the hammer he knows where the last one will fall – even if he can’t explain the process in technical terms.

Steering function

Time for a new company car? It doesn’t take a star or a propeller to make employees happy. Two wheels are also an attractive means of transportation. After all, they combine getting around and sport in a unique way. Employee satisfaction that’s completely organic from inside out.

Lightening tho load

Customer orientation is never coincidental, and cannot be an empty promise. We see company pension plans and employee benefits only as part of a human-resources marketing strategy and take the burden off companies by administrating and managing the contracts. This frees up energy for new forms of cooperation.

Address of the company data protection officer
Corporate Data Protection Officer of Karl Köllner GmbH Versicherungsmakler, Valentinskamp 70, 20355 Hamburg Germany, is Mag. Andrea Thurner, Phone: +43 (0)664 814 28 65, E-Mail: Andrea.Thurner@aon-austria.at

Address of the company data protection officer
Corporate Data Protection Officer of Karl Köllner GmbH Versicherungsmakler, Valentinskamp 70, 20355 Hamburg Germany, is Mag. Andrea Thurner, Phone: +43 (0)664 814 28 65, E-Mail: Andrea.Thurner@aon-austria.at
